I'm a photojournalist and writer based in New York City.
I was born in Tampa and raised in a Cuban household where Spanish shaped my earliest sense of language and culture.
I am set to graduate from the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism with a master’s in journalism, concentrating in international reporting this December.
I was a reporting fellow at the Tucson Sentinel, photographing and covering stories across Southern Arizona on a wide range of topics, from space industry to border policy.
Before my journalism career, I was a commercial photographer and cinematographer. I worked as a game day photographer for the Pittsburgh Pirates, cinematographer for Harper’s Bazaar, and contributing photographer to a city magazine in Tampa, FL, just to name a few. I learned firsthand how to craft compelling visuals, manage complex shoots, and collaborate under pressure,
