For me, it's always been about pushing my creativity; continually learning new lighting techniques, and practicing journalistic writing. Having experience in both photo and video gave me a well rounded understanding into what it means to be a visual artist.

Born and raised in Tampa, Florida, I grew up speaking Spanish in a Cuban household. I graduated from the University of South Florida with a degree in English with a concentration in creative writing.

I've since moved to New York City to pursue a masters in journalism with a concentration in international reporting at the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism at CUNY.
As part of the masters program, I was accepted to be the summer fellow at the Tucson Sentinel where I spent the summer reporting all throughout Southern Arizona on a wide range of topics.

My easy going nature and positivity make it easy to work with him. The love for the craft and willingness to go the extra mile ensure that any project is given the amount of attention that it deserves. It's why I fit so well into the Tucson Sentinel team, and why I am looking forward to seeing where my photojournalism journey takes me.
